For
over a decade, WINDSEEKER wind turbines have set the
standard for affordable, reliable wind power. With its unique
patented upward-furling design, the WINDSEEKER will
dependably produce power year after year, from low to the
extreme stormy mountain top wind conditions.
When most other wind turbines achieve their rated output, the
over speed device begins to decrease its ability to produce
additional power. When this occurs, output is cut by as much
as 90%.
However, WINDSEEKER's output drops only 15%,
retaining approximately 85%of full power, even in winds exceeding
120 mph.
This means that regardless of the winds, your WINDSEEKER
will continue to keep your batteries charged while others
are only offering a trickle.

WINDSEEKER is the ideal turbine when your power requirements
are higher or you have extremely windy conditions. Since
its inception over ten years ago, over 4,000 WINDSEEKER's
have been produced and shipped around the world.
Operation
The WINDSEEKER
has a permanent magnet brush-less alternator that rectifies
the voltage and controls the output internally. This allows
better control of the alternator and minimizes connections
to the battery. This is also a safety feature, preventing
the turbine from damaging itself or harming the user due
to excess voltage.
Regulation and control electronics
The electronics
performs several functions to assure maximum output and
safety for the user. The control electronics maintain a
load on the alternator at all times to make sure that the
turbine never over speeds, regardless of the condition of
the battery. As the battery is charged, the sophisticated
regulator periodically checks the line, correcting for voltage
loss and monitoring charge rate. Once the battery has reached
its optimum charge level the regulator shuts the current
off, preventing the battery from being overcharged while
maintaining a load on the alternator at all times to prevent
over speeding.
If your application requires a powerful wind turbine and
is in a place with potentially high winds then consider
the WINDSEEKER.
