? Did you know extension of power lines to your well will cost between $10,000 and $40,000 per mile?

? Is the cost of maintaining your windmill too high?

! Solar water pumping can save you over $30,000 on water pumping costs.

Solar powered water pumping is a cost effective solution in many livestock watering and small scale irrigation applications.

Operating on utility power is the least expensive manner to pump water. However, in rural areas power line extension to a site can be costly. Typical costs range from $ 10,000 to $ 40,000 per mile plus additional charges for line maintenance. If the distance for utility grid is greater than ½ mile, a solar powered system may be your least cost answer.

Lifting well water in remote operations, can be accomplished by wind turbine or diesel generators, however these methods are more expensive to purchase and maintain. Solar powered water pumping systems are becoming a popular alternative.

AC pumps are more reliable, readily available and less costly than DC pumps. Innovation in the USPC pump controller allows the use of ANY standard AC pump in the solar powered system.

Remote livestock watering and small scale irrigation needs can be met by several methods. Compare costs and see how solar powered water pumping can work for you!

Components of an USPC Solar Water Pumping System

Simplified layout

(Only major components shown. Typical system will include various protection devices to ensure safe operation)

Photovoltaic Array

  • Converts sunlight into DC power
  • 25 Year warranty (polycrystalline)
  • Low maintenance
  • Will withstand hail and severe weather

Pump Controller (USPC 2000 or USPC 5000)

  • Converts DC power to AC power for the pump
  • Matches speed of the pump to the power output of the photovoltaic array for maximum performance
  • Monitors operation and provides protection against dry running and other faults

AC Pump

  • Use ANY standard three phase or three wire single phase pump motor
  • Proven reliability, availability and well established support

Storage Tank

  • For livestock watering applications, storage tanks can be drawn upon
