| Following is a description of the BP Solar
module product and version numbers: |
| |
|
|
PV technology |
| This designator identifies
the technology that produces the energy for a given solar
product. Crystalline technology designators focus on the
solar cell: |
5 |
Premium Monocrystalline -
Laser grooved technology yielding 16% to 17% cell efficiencies. |
3 |
Performance Multicrystaline - New cell
coating enhances performance, yielding cell efficiencies
from 14% to 15%. |
SX / MSX |
Standard Multicrystalline - Traditional
BP Solar Multicrystalline that will be upgraded to Performance
Multicrystalline by end of 2003. |
|
Power output |
| This number classifies a
product's nominal rated power. |
|
Feature classifier * |
| A letter representing a set
of premium and/or standard features |
Premium Feature Set Classifier |
| : When present, follows the
power output in the model and product name and precedes
the Standard Feature Classifier in the product name (i.e.
585DL). |
D |
Signified that dark gray tedlar is used
giving the product an elegant appearance |
Standard Feature Classifier |
S |
Clear anodized Universal frame with quick
connect cables ** |
B |
Bronze anodized Universal frame with
quick connect cables |
L |
Laminate with quick connect cables |
U |
Type A (SPJB) junction box with Universal
frame *** |
H |
Type B (GSM) junction box with Universal
frame *** |
M |
Multimount frame with a single cable
termination (small modules only) |
* |
The feature classifier cannot describe
all relevant features of a product. A data sheet should
be consulted for a detailed description. |
** |
Quick-connect cables refers to MultiContact
type connector |
*** |
Most "U" or "H" products
feature a clear anodized frame finish, but selected products
are available with only a bronze anodized frame finish.
If frame finish is critical, check the product datasheet. |
