Bring your home electrical appliances and equipment with you. Your Trace Inverter changes DC battery energy into 120-volt AC energy. Hand tools, lights, microwave ovens, navigation equipment, computers - almost all household appliances can be operated off your marine batteries. This includes appliances such as refrigerators that demand high start-up power.

As a charger

Plug into shore power or rev up your generator and the Trace Inverter starts charging your batteries and automatically transfers the power to your boat's AC electrical system. It charges rapidly and completely without over- charging, and maintains the full charge indefinitely. The synchronous-rectification design charges batteries in three stages - bulk, absorption, then float.

Battery friendly, boat friendly

To achieve a full charge and long battery- life, a unique temperature compensation circuit utilizes a remote probe to automatically adjust charge voltage to battery temperature. If your battery is in danger of over-discharge, the current-compensated low-battery protection circuit will automatically avert trouble by shutting off the inverter. Other design features protect against undercharging, overload, over temperature, low battery, over voltage AC, or accidental connection of an AC source to AC output. For most error conditions, the unit automatically resets itself after the problem is corrected. An engine-run alternator can be operated simultaneously without affecting inverter performance.

Smart

Microprocessor-controlled features include easy-to-read LED volt and amp meters, select for charger-only operation, automatic charge-rate reduction (to keep from over- loading AC input breakers based on pass thru loads), and fast 16-millisecond transfer to and from inverter/charger modes.

Rugged

Powder-coated aluminum chassis, stainless-steel fasteners, conformal-coated circuit board, and gold-plated connectors are designed to withstand harsh marine conditions. Battery cables and AC wiring terminate cleanly inside the bulkhead- mountable chassis.
